Privacy Policy

RTMP Server (cn.nicolite.rtmp.server) is a local streaming server app. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

1. Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal or sensitive user data. All video and audio streams received by the app are processed locally on your device. Recording files are stored only in the app’s private directory.

2. Permissions

The app requests the following permissions solely for local functionality:

• INTERNET / NETWORK_STATE / WIFI_STATE — required to run the local streaming server and accept incoming streams.
• FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC — required to keep the server running while the app is in the background.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS — required to show the foreground-service notification on Android 13+.
• WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE — only used on Android 8/9 (API ≤ 28) for legacy export support.
• WAKE_LOCK — used to keep the server alive while streaming.

3. Third-party services

The app does not integrate advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, or any other third-party SDK that collects user data. Open-source libraries used by the app are listed in the in-app Open-source licenses screen.

4. Data security

Because all streams and recordings remain on your device, the security of your data is governed by the Android operating system and your device’s own protections. You can optionally enable shared-secret authentication for incoming push streams.

5. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with an updated effective date.
